Dwo Wen Chen was born in a little farming village in the southern part of Taiwan. He considers himself very fortunate to come from a family who encouraged his artistic endeavors. He now finds himself to be a studio potter living in New England. To this he owe a great deal to his RISD education. For Dwo clay is a very forgiving medium and he claims it suits him perfectly! He can translate almost anything within his imagination using his hands and clay. Sometimes with great success, sometimes with amusing end results!
